If an officer is not on duty or unable to collect the animal due to Monon Veterinary Clinic being closed, please keep them overnight until the officer is able to pick it up as we do not have an after-hours drop off location for stray animals.

Any stray animal that is found in White County, IN is brought to the White County Animal Wellness Center by White County Animal Control where they will receive any medical care they need and receive warm housing, food, and clean water. The animal is posted to social media to ensure that they do not already have a home. If they are not claimed, they will receive tests to determine they are in good health and once this has been determined, they will be put up for adoption.
